Founded in 2025, TRS is built by a desire for a strong, but most importantly, fair Private Rented Sector (PRS). I am not part of any tenant union or campaign group and do not entertain indignant anti-landlord rhetoric. I acknowledge there can be questionable practice / conduct on both sides. Whilst building social and 'affordable' housing is in no doubt key to addressing the housing crisis in Scotland, I recognise that not everybody wants social housing, nor does everybody want the responsibility of home ownership.
TRS fills the void between charities and solicitors by offering affordable housing advice and representation to any PRS tenant in Scotland, regardless of income or local authority area. As a sole trader rather than a charity, I am not restricted by any funding criteria - as long as you are a PRS tenant (not PSL) and are resident in Scotland, I can help you!
Clients keep 100% of any financial award - be it a tribunal award (penalty / compensation to be paid by the landlord or agent), deposit return or any mutually agreed settlement. Unlike with solicitors, there are no costly or unexpected fees. All I charge is a one off £45 initial engagement fee, regardless of how much time is spent on your case.
